The objective: Creating a dream locker room to inspire a football team and enhance recruitment

More than 20 years ago, Logiflex set up the local university’s locker room in a space with no showers or running water. Since then, the team’s needs and aspirations have evolved considerably. The main goal of creating this new locker room was to improve the Vert & Or’s sports facilities, giving the student athletes a more modern, functional and comfortable space. According to Kevin Régimbald, head coach of the Vert & Or and a former professional football player, “A university team’s locker room is much more than just somewhere to get changed. It’s a communal space where student athletes spend a lot of their time.”

Besides meeting current players’ needs, the locker room needed to boost the appeal of the Vert & Or for future recruits and showcase the University of Sherbrooke’s commitment to athletic excellence.

The solution: Working closely with the client to create a fully customized result

To make the Vert & Or’s dream a reality, Logiflex developed customized units that include fully personalized benches and storage spaces. The Vert & Or visited the factory several times to help Logiflex make sure that each detail met the team’s expectations.

All 97 lockers were carefully designed to include practical features, like ventilation solutions, space partitions, equipment protection devices and secure locking compartments. The lockers’ dimensions and form also provide optimal comfort for the entire team and encourage communication between teammates.

Logiflex not only met the client’s functional needs, but also paid attention to each aesthetic detail to deliver an ergonomic, streamlined, high-end result.

Finally, the locker room’s new location enabled the University of Sherbrooke to strategically relocate the coaches’ offices to the adjacent rooms. Logiflex knows how important it is for people to have a workplace that helps them focus, so it carefully outfitted these private offices to give coaches a space that’s perfect for working both alone and with a team.

The result: A locker room that motivates an entire team

This locker room is the result of an ambitious project and dynamic collaboration between the University of Sherbrooke and Logiflex. Together, they had to create an inspiring, modern space tailored to the members of the team. This environment has the power to both transform the motivation and performance of the Vert & Or and attract new talent to the team.
